ABOUT CANVAS LXD

We built this because some things are just better in person.

There is something that happens when creative people are in the same room. Conversations start that would never happen online. Ideas show up that no algorithm could have predicted. Friendships form over the most unexpected things. That is the magic we wanted to protect, and it is exactly why Canvas LXD exists.

We believe everyone has a creative side. It just shows up differently in each person. Some people paint. Some people write. Some people walk into their first class not knowing anyone and leave with a new hobby and a new friend they did not know they needed. That kind of moment is what we build every experience around.

This is a place to try something new, meet people who get it, and discover what creativity looks like for you. However you show up, you belong here.

Everyone has a creative side. It just shows up differently.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Amber Nicole

Founder & Creative Director

Amber Nicole has always been a creative. But like a lot of artists, it took time to trust that fully.

She made the leap, went full time, and spent years doing shows and festivals all throughout metro Atlanta, eventually debuting her solo exhibition "My Hair Speaks Volumes." She built something real. And then she hit a wall. Burnout taught her what success without sustainability actually costs, and that lesson changed everything.

Now she is back, more grounded and more intentional than ever. Amber Nicole founded Canvas LXD because she wanted to create the space she wished had existed for her. A place where creatives at every stage, from the just-starting-out to the well-seasoned, can build, connect, share, and learn without having to figure it all out alone.

Her work has been featured in the Atlanta Tribune, Voyage ATL, Northside Neighbor, and WABE 90.1 FM NPR. But the thing she is most proud of is this community and the people showing up in it every day.
